Swimming Spots & The Local Area
Støle Beach: Our closest local gem. Perfect for a quick morning dip or a relaxing evening by the water.
Groos Recreation Area: Features sandy beaches, green lawns, beach volleyball, and a playground. Excellent for families (8-minute drive).
Nearest Grocery Stores: KIWI Bergemoveien 45, REMA 1000 i Lillesandsveien 47 eller Coop Extra I Guldmandsveien 2. These groceries are about a 5–7 minute drive away.
Historical and literary museums
Ibsen Museum in Grimstad: This is Norway's oldest Ibsen museum, located in the original pharmacy where Henrik Ibsen worked and lived as a youth.
Hamsun Museum in Grimstad: Presents the life and work of Nobel Prize winner Knut Hamsun, with particular focus on the years 1918–1952 when he lived at the Nørholm manor in Grimstad.
Maritime Museum in Aust-Agder: A very family-friendly museum located in historic maritime surroundings in Hasseldalen. The museum showcases 150 years of local shipyard and shipping activities
Norwegian Horticultural Museum: The only museum of its kind in Norway, beautifully located in Dømmesmoen Park. Exhibitions cover, among other things, bees and ecological interactions, the famous Fuhr wine production, and the city's old canning industry

Apotekergaarden: The town's most charming backyard restaurant. Known for great food, a cozy atmosphere, and a fantastic selection of local beers.
Smag & Behag: Ideal for a finer dining experience with a focus on local, seasonal ingredients.
Café Ibsen: Delicious coffee and fresh pastries in a historic setting right next to the Ibsen Museum.
Activities & Experiences
Grimstad Archipelago: Rent a boat or take a trip with the local ferry (MS Sjøbussen) to explore the idyllic islands like Hesnesøya.
Dømmesmoen: A beautiful park area with historic burial mounds, giant oak trees, and lovely walking trails.
Cycling: Grimstad is very bike-friendly. Enjoy a scenic bike ride along the coast toward Fevik or Lillesand.
Practical Information
Waste Management: The bins are located next to the Garage. General waste goes in the gray bin, paper/cardboard in the blue bin.
House Rules: Please keep noise levels down after 11:00 PM (23:00). Parties or events are not allowed.
